Clothes That Care were overwhelmed by the generosity of our supporters and volunteers enabling us to spread the Christmas Cheer with many who otherwise would have been forgotten. We had a wonderful time putting donated items of essentials and some Christmas treats into shoe boxes, wrapped them, loaded up our cars and headed into Brisbane to put smiles on some very deserving faces.
The ladies were also treated to a new handbag filled with product, kindly donated by Share the Dignity.
What a great night for us all !
One of our very generous sponsors, IRT Roofing kindly donated a fabulous enclosed trailer which will help us to be better organised when travelling to provide clothing and other essentials to those in need.
We can't thank them enough and hope all Clothes That Care supporters will support IRT Roofing.
WINTER WARMERS PROJECT 2015
Homelessness has many causes, including the shortage of affordable housing, long-term unemployment, mental health issues, substance abuse as well as family and relationship breakdown. Clothes that Care are currently running our "winter warmers project" where we hit the streets of Brisbane every weekend, handing out much needed quality warm items to anyone who needed them. We have made some great relationships so far, with some very grateful men and women.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has !"
WINTER WARMERS APPEAL 2016
Clothes that Care Inc's "Winter Warmers Appeal" this year was hugely successful through the generous online donations for winter warmer packs. Items were purchased then Clothing Packs and sleeping bags we handed out every week in Spring Hill and Redcliffe. We were able to make the winter nights of so many deserving people just a little more comfortable.
We continue to make some new relationships, and reconnect with other very grateful men and women and children, made possible by our very caring supporters!
